VIGNESH KUMAR SINGH (b. 1995) is a Singaporean actor, theatre-maker and teaching artist.
A recipient of the Trailblazer General Fund, Vignesh graduated with a Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) from the Intercultural Theatre Institute in Singapore.
He is also an alumnus of the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Young Company, the Buds Youth Theatre Programme and Creative Edge by iTheatre.
In 2023, through the sponsorship of the National Arts Council, he attended the acclaimed physical theatre school École Philippe Gaulier in Paris and later at Pandemonium Studio in New York City.
With over 15 years of experience in acting and drama teaching, Vignesh has performed with numerous theatre groups in Singapore and throughout the region. Some of his recent theatre credits include Come Back Home (Polyglot Theatre), Puppets Encore (The Finger Players), The Story of Batu Bulat (Esplanade Theatres on the Bay) and Dido and the Belindas (T:>Works).
Vignesh’s screen credits have been featured on major platforms such as HBO Asia and Netflix. His most recent screen credit includes a mini-series produced by onedash22 titled The Guardians.

As a teaching artist, Vignesh began teaching drama in 2013 with the Learning Connections. Since then, Vignesh has taught with companies such as the Julia Gabriel Centre, Haque Centre of Acting and Creativity (HCAC), The Singapore Repertory Theatre and Buds Theatre Company.
Between 2013 and 2018, Vignesh worked for Real Academy as a trainer, teaching programmes at local and international schools in Singapore that focused on team building, responsibility and interpersonal skills. He was eventually sought after for his drama skills to direct, perform and write theatre performances for clients such as the Ministry of Education Singapore and OCBC Bank. Between 2019 and 2021, Vignesh was one of the founding teachers of the HCAC KIDS programme, an applied theatre programme for students age 8–12, who wrote the curriculum and taught lessons there.
Vignesh is the artistic director of Translucent Bodies—a theatre training and performance company based in Singapore. Through Translucent Bodies, Vignesh has coached actors through workshops for theatre and film.
Presently, Vignesh serves on the board and teaches with Buds Theatre Company. He is the resident drama coach at Raffles Institution and Yuan Ching Secondary School. Through his coaching, Vignesh supported his students at Raffles Institution to clinch their first Distinction since 2018 at the 2025 Singapore Youth Festival.
